Three External Tantric Vehicles

Also referred to as "external tantras," these three, along with the final three vehicles, are classified as the "resultant vehicles" ('bras bu; Skt. phala) of Buddhist tantra or Vajrayāna. This contrasts to the first three vehicles known as the "causal vehicles" of exoteric Buddhism.
