Paklok or lokpa is a type of Tibetan traditional robe that is worn both in agricultural and nomadic areas. It is mainly made from sheep skin, which helps the wearer stay warm in winter and cool in summer. There are many kinds, such as yartsak (summer robe), güntsak (winter robe), chutsak (rainwear), shomtsak (festival robe), and so on. Tsak is a local word for lokpa. Paklok are constituted of a collar, sleeves, robe back, collar and hem adornments, and right and left lapels. Nowadays, it is only worn during the winter in agriculture areas, whereas in the nomadic areas they are worn anytime besides the summer.
