Lake Narratives

There are stories of how a lake is live with a spiritual force in it. Lakes are said to move from place to place, some lakes are considered to be married couples and others enemies. Disturbing a lake is said to cause it to efferverse and attack people and constant contamination is believed to kill the lake or make the lake move to another place. Some lakes are sacred and believed to with positive power while others are considered to be malevolent. There are many accounts of the lakes in Bhutan as spiritual force in addition to the accounts of how they contain various treasures and riches. There are also accounts of lake in the literary composition as part of the ecological habitat.
